The stage is set, and anticipation is high as the 2025 Aseda 92.3FM Science and Maths Quiz kicks off today, Tuesday, July 22nd, at the Obuasi Sec Tech Assembly Hall. Today marks the beginning of a week-long academic showdown among Junior High Schools in the Obuasi Municipality and Obuasi East District.
In today’s preliminary contests, six schools will compete in three brainy battles as part of the Obuasi Municipal qualifiers:
Contest 1:
- Obuasi Methodist JHS vs. Kokoteasua Experimental M/A JHS
Contest 2:
- Ntosua M/A JHS vs. Bogobiri M/A JHS
Contest 3:
- Bidieso M/A JHS vs. Obuasi Presbyterian JHS
These contests promise to be intellectually engaging, with each school vying for a spot in the next round of this prestigious academic event. The students are geared up to showcase their knowledge, confidence, and composure in solving complex science and mathematics problems under pressure.
The 2025 edition of the quiz brings together 46 schools from both the Obuasi Municipality and Obuasi East District, making it one of the biggest local academic contests in the region. This year’s competition continues to live up to its core mission—igniting a passion for science and mathematics among basic school students.
Today’s contests are expected to draw educationists, parents, and community leaders who believe in nurturing academic excellence through healthy competition.
