Anglogold Ashanti to Organize Financial Literacy Training For Women In  Micro/Small Businesses 

AngloGold Ashanti is organizing a 3-day financial literacy capacity building training for women entrepreneurs in basic financial management to boost the financial performance of their businesses and enhance entrepreneurship in Obuasi.

The training will take place from 23rd to 25th May 2022 at the Enterprise and Skills Development Centre, near Anyinam clinic.

The training seeks to help participants identify the benefits and costs of financial literacy in doing business and appreciate factors to consider in making good financial decisions in their businesses. Participants will also be helped to enhance their calculation skills using their phone calculators and gain skills in basic book-keeping.

Appreciate the importance of developing good banking habit

The training will be facilitated by the EDP Consultant, covering the following content;

• Financial Literacy and its importance

• Financial Planning and Financial decision making ice micro/small business

• Manual Book-Keeping • Calculation skills- using calculator for transactions

• Building a positive banking habit- Types of Accounts available to micro-businesses (savings, current, fixed deposit)

Registration forms can be picked at the front desk of the AGA sustainability office, the Enterprise and Skills Development Center at Anyinam or from Assemblyman or Assernblywoman in your community.

Deadline for submission of registration forms is Wednesday 18th May 2022.
