BAWA-ROCK LTD, in partnership with Galaxy Foundation Ghana, has announced a free medical outreach programme aimed at providing life-changing surgical interventions for needy individuals, particularly residents of rural communities.
The initiative, fully funded by BAWA-ROCK LTD as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, seeks to remove financial barriers that prevent vulnerable people from accessing essential surgical care.
The free surgeries will cover a wide range of medical conditions, including cleft lip and palate, post-burn contractures, extra fingers and toes (polydactyly), fused fingers and toes (syndactyly), tumors and swellings, goiter, hernia, and fibroids.
As part of the programme, a medical screening exercise has been scheduled for Monday, 26th January 2026, at St. Jude Hospital in Obuasi, starting from 9:00 a.m. Patients who qualify after screening will be enrolled for the surgical procedures at no cost.
According to the organizers, the outreach is designed to restore dignity, improve quality of life, and offer renewed hope to individuals who have lived with these conditions due to lack of access to affordable healthcare.
