Obuasi has recorded its first case of COVID-19, taking the total number of confirmed cases in Ghana to 6. This was confirmed at a press conference organised by the ministry of Information on Sunday afternoon.
The Obuasi victim first attended a hospital in Obuasi where his blood sample was taken to the regional capital for testing. It came out positive. 30 people have been identified to have come into contact with the victim.
The victim is a 56 year old Ghanaian male, who has been to UK for 10 days and reported to a hospital on the 12th March after having the symptoms.
