Eric Appiah Invited as Guest Speaker (Online) by Global Ambassadors of Sustainability (Canada) and Global  & US Green Chamber of Commerce

Eric Appiah, an award-winning technology and sustainability leader from Ghana, has been invited to speak as an online guest speaker at the prestigious Global Professional Fellowship in Green Urban Innovation & Resilient Entrepreneurship.

With over a decade of experience as a senior IT, cybersecurity, and sustainability professional, Eric Appiah is widely recognized for bridging digital innovation with environmental and social governance (ESG) principles. He currently serves as Country Head for Ghana at The ESG Institute, where he leads initiatives to advance ESG strategy, reporting, and sustainable business practices across West Africa. He is also the IT/Sustainability Director at Global Volunteers Corps in Accra, spearheading the integration of technology solutions that support both operational efficiency and long-term sustainability goals.

Appiah is a certified AI Security and Governance Expert and a passionate advocate for ethical AI adoption. He frequently speaks on topics such as AI for business growth, cybersecurity best practices, Green IT, and the critical role of renewable energy in powering sustainable digital infrastructure. His insights have been featured in discussions on Ghana’s AI future, where he emphasizes the need to address ethical concerns  including data privacy and misinformation  alongside environmental sustainability, notably advocating for solar power to mitigate the energy demands of AI systems.

As an accomplished global speaker, Appiah has delivered workshops and presentations at numerous platforms, including the Africa Digital Skills Conference, the Senior IT Leaders Combating Climate Change Conference in the UK, and the International Talk on Green Business, Sustainability, and Climate Action. In recognition of his impactful work, Appiah received the Sustainability Champion Award 2025 from Global Ambassadors of Sustainability (GAoS). He is also an ESGI-UK Advisor and a prominent voice in Ghana’s tech and sustainability ecosystem, having collaborated with organizations such as Mobile Web Ghana and the US Embassy on training programs focused on AI-powered productivity tools, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
