Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong has dissociated himself from a groups calling itself ‘Loyalists of Kennedy Agyapong”, LOKA claiming to work with and in the name of the influential NPP MP.
According to him, the only group he acknowledges is “friends of Kennedy Agyapong”, and even for that, he says the membership is very, very limited.
While describing the LOKA group members as fraudulent characters, Kennedy Agyapong made shocking revelations of how they are using his face to dupe unsuspecting Ghanaians dragging his name into the mud and is warning the public against the groups.
The maverick politician has threatened to track down members of the group who are bent on ruinng his hard-won reputation with their criminal-minded acts.
On Accra-based Adom TV, monitored by MyNewsGh.com, the lawmaker who was peeved about the development stated “A group by name Loyalists of Kennedy Agyapong is using my name to dupe people. In fact, I don’t know any group and have nothing to do with them. It’s a scam; they are fake. The only group I know is Friends of Kennedy Agyapong, even that one has limited membership.I have built a reputation long ago. I will not entertain any silly jokes. No one should pay attention to them else they will end up wasting their money on them,” he said.
He took the opportunity to caution the public against dealing with persons claiming to belong to the said group emphasizing they are a bunch of criminals and imposters pursuing a clandestine agenda.
