Jesus Cares International School, a privately owned school in Obuasi, has held its 4th graduation ceremony. After years of intensive academic work, the preschool final year students passed out at the colourful graduation ceremony.
The highly patronised event had parents, teachers and other stakeholders in education all in attendance.
Significantly, the ceremony was a proof of the hard work, dedication and perseverance of the students, teachers and families.
The event was under the theme “ACADEMIC AND MORAL EXCELLENCE TOWARDS NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT, THE ROLE OF STAKEHOLDERS”.
Delivering the welcome address, the Proprietress, Dr. Mrs. Amina Achiaa Asiedu Amoah, said education is not merely a pathway to personal success. It is the bedrock of a nation’s progress. It shapes the minds, builds the skills and forgoes the value of the next generation.
On her call to stakeholders, “ Education is a shared responsibility and only through collaboration can we achieve meaningful progress. We must invest in infrastructure, teacher training and modern learning tools to prepare students for a competitive future,” Dr. Amina stated.
She also highlighted the importance of community involvement, urging parents to take an active role in their children’s academic journey while calling on the government to provide more support for private schools.
On the student’s future, she emphasised that when students are both academically sound and morally upright, we raise a generation of leaders, professionals, and citizens who can competently and ethically lead the nation forward.
We build a society rooted in knowledge, justice, innovation and compassion – the true pillars of sustainable development.
The graduating students, resplendent in their caps and gowns, beamed with pride as they received their certificates and awards.
The school cadet, Choir, Choreography, and the school’s cultural troupe took turns to put up a fantastic display, which excited the parents and other guests
