Kanye West’s iPhone passcode is 000000

Kanye West may need a new iPhone password. The outspoken musician accidentally revealed his password when unlocking his iPhone X on video during a meeting with President Trump, shown to be the incredibly weak combination of ‘000000’.

Kanye revealed the password as part of a stream of consciousness speech to the President, which saw him break off on a tangent to show off a GIF what West referred “the iPlane 1,” a hydrogen-powered concept aircraft that he felt “our President should be flying in,” (Trump: “Can we get rid of Air Force One? No?”).

Despite using an iPhone X or XS — which support Face ID, and therefore negate the need for a typed in password, Kanye choose to unlock his phone manually (whether Face ID failed, was disabled, or simple not fast enough for Kanye is unclear.) For its part, Apple doesn’t recommend users set so simple a password on its iOS devices — attempt to change your password to something like ‘000000’ or ‘123456’ and an iPhone will pop up a notification that the combination can be easily guessed, and recommend that you choose something else.

Kanye went on to say that “we’re going to have Apple — an American company — work on this plane”. (Note: Air Force One is the official air traffic control call sign for a US Air Force plane carrying the President of the United States. Currently, that role is filled by two Boeing VC-25s, converted military versions of the Boeing 747. Boeing is an American company, and the Boeing 747 and other Boeing planes are manufactured in the United States at the Boeing Everett Factory in Everett, Washington.)

West further went on to comment that reason for the iPlane One is to improve the Presidential image: “If he don’t look good, we don’t look good,” and that therefore President Trump “has to be the freshest, the flyest… the flyest planes, the best factories,” although it’s as yet unclear whether or not he’ll be proposing a new iFactory, too.
