Leap School Organizes 2nd Annual Graduation Ceremony

Seventy(70) students have graduated at the Leap school in Obuasi at the end of the 2016/17 academic year. The graduants who were either moving up to the Nursery school from Crèche, Kindergarten from Nursery and Primary from Kindergarten were awarded various prizes. The event attracted many parents who came to see their wards graduate.

The school which started admissions in the Golden city six years ago now has nine classes starting from the creche to primary four though their infrastructure could take up to primary six and they have a staff workforce of eighteen (18).

Speaking to the Director of the school, Nana Ohene Adu, she reiterated the need to train children the right way.

“It isn’t about producing intellectuals. The brain of the child must first be developed for the unforeseen future. So we are training the children here all round. Every part of them must be educated”, she said.

“We have impacted the lives of many children, more than 2000, not only those who have completed here but our various initiatives have gotten to them wherever they are”, she revealed.

There were various awards for the students and graduants. Awards were given to students who excelled in the various subjects for the year under review. Disciplined and well behaved students were also awarded. Over hundred (100) awards and prizes were given.

Speaking to some parents who witnessed the event, they expressed their joy at the training the school was giving to their wards.

“Though they are kids but these awards mean a lot to them. It will encourage them to learn more in other to get more awards in the future”, one parent said.

“My little girl has been here for the past two years and I must say her attitude towards learning has changed. She nowadays studies with joy. She even tries to involve the whole house in her learning (chuckles)”, another parent added.

Nana Ohene Adu also hinted that the school may have an Accra campus very soon.
