Muffin Farms Ltd. has launched Obuasi’s biggest grilled pork barbecue and pork soup stand at the AGA Club House, Wawase, Obuasi to enable lovers of pork to have a taste of it grilled and also in soup.
The event which took place on Saturday, June 18th at the AGA Club House, was aimed at bringing their products closer to clients, most of whom feel the farm is very far from them and also serve the healthiest and best pork to the people of Obuasi and its environs.
The Managing Director of Muffin Farms, Mrs. Diana Akuoko, made it known to patriots that the time where Pigs were known as the world’s dirtiest animals is no more. This is because, at Muffin, the whole environment and animals are well-catered for.
‘‘Modern technologies are what is used at Muffin. It is also the cleanest pig farm in the country. I am not saying this because I am the MD, but you can sit at the piggery and have your meal,’’ she said.
‘‘Pork has a lot of health benefits, especially to the human body. It is a rich source of certain vitamins and minerals your body needs to function like iron and zinc. It is also an excellent source of high-quality protein. The fats in pork do not saturate in the body unlike other meats,’’ she added.
She continued that, the use of various technologies at Muffins makes their pork 100% clean and hygienic as there are no human hands used when it comes to killing and cooking the meat.
‘‘Muffin Farms is the only Pig farm with an in-house veterinary officer. We care so much about our clients and people who patronize our pork that we don’t joke with our environment.’’

The New Stand at the AGA Club House will now operate and serve clients every day at exactly 16:00HRS GMT to supplement the mobile market which operates at the Obuasi Post office on Fridays and Saturdays.
