The Obuasi Municipal Assembly will this morning embark on a major decongestion exercise within the Central Business District of Obuasi.
The operation, which will be carried out in collaboration with the security services, is aimed at preventing traders from selling in unauthorized areas within the CBD.
According to the Assembly, the exercise will begin early in the morning, and security personnel will be deployed across the area to ensure that traders who usually operate in unauthorized locations do not occupy those spaces.
Authorities are therefore advising traders who sell at unauthorized places within the CBD to relocate to approved trading areas to avoid any confrontations with the security team during the operation.
