Obuasi JHS Complex won their 4th consecutive trophy in the AngloGold Ashanti sponsored Obuasi Basic School Quiz Competition this year. This is unprecedented and therefore Obuasitoday.com has adjudged them the Best Junior High School in Obuasi for the year 2021.
Obuasi JHS Complex is a public school established on September 07, 1998. It does not have a Primary school so all its students are from various primary schools in Obuasi. During its establishment in 1998, the first badge of students was from Salvation Army Primary School, which had no Junior high school at the time. Other groups of students were also from Obuasi Presby School, where their JHS classrooms could not accommodate all the students who were coming from their primary school.
Obuasi JHS Complex soon had the highest number of enrolments among the Junior High schools in Obuasi. The first Senior School Profect of Obuasi JHS Complex was Simon Kwabena Bonssoog. Their first batch completed in 2001.
