In the highly contested primaries, Faustilove Appiah Kannin secured 605 votes, while Ambrose Edwin Nsarkoh, a Human Resource practitioner, garnered 468 votes, with three ballots rejected. Despite the reported tension between the two candidates, the Obuasi West NDC made a decisive move to reconcile their differences and strengthen party unity.
A crucial meeting was convened on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the Constituency Party Office, where key stakeholders of the party were brought together to address the prevailing concerns. During this meeting, all participants pledged their unwavering commitment to promoting peace, unity, and hard work within the party—an essential foundation for achieving victory in the upcoming 2024 elections.
