Gospel artiste Oware Junior will be the featured guest at the Hope in the Street outreach programme coming to Obuasi this Friday, March 6.
The event, organised by the Street Gospel Foundation and hosted by Ekow Felix, will take place at Black Park, directly in front of the NPP office in Obuasi, starting at 10:00 a.m. sharp.
The programme carries the theme “Extending God’s Love to the Needy,” drawn from Proverbs 19:17. It will feature live gospel music, ministry, and a fundraising drive to support orphanages in the area.
Speaking to Obuasi Today, Ekow Felix explained the practical side of the outreach. He said he has made annual personal donations to orphanages in previous years but hopes the public nature of this event will allow the team to raise more funds and help a larger number of children and families in need.

“I used to donate to the orphanage every year, but I decided that with public support, we can impact more people in need,” Felix said.
Oware Junior, known for his heartfelt worship songs such as “Afe Sesee” and “Eye Mmere,” has spent over two decades ministering through music in churches, crusades, and community events across Ghana. His performance is expected to draw worshippers and bring encouragement to attendees.
The Street Gospel Foundation specialises in taking the gospel into public spaces through music, testimony, and acts of service, making these outreaches accessible to residents who may not regularly attend formal church gatherings.
