Pamicor Ltd has announced two contract job openings at the Obuasi Water Treatment Plant (WTP) for the positions of Mechanical Technician and Reliability Engineer.
Mechanical Technician
The Mechanical Technician role is a one-year fixed-term contract position. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing rotating equipment critical to wastewater treatment operations, including pumps, compressors, gearboxes, agitators, motors and couplings.
Applicants must hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, MET III, MET II, or a related field, with a minimum of three to five years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in water or wastewater treatment facilities or similar industrial environments.
Reliability Engineer
The Reliability Engineer position, also a one-year fixed-term contract, seeks a skilled professional to improve plant reliability, availability and performance. The role involves conducting root cause failure analysis, implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, monitoring equipment performance and supporting safe, cost-effective operations.
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, with four to six years’ experience in maintenance, reliability or asset management roles.
