Police foil Robbery Attempt on Tutuka-Akrofuom road, One Suspect Arrested

The Obuasi Divisional Command of the Ghana Police Service has successfully thwarted a robbery attempt on the Tutuka-Akrofuom road in Obuasi, arresting one of the suspects in the process.

Responding swiftly to a distress call, the police team arrived at the scene to find a gang of robbers who immediately fled into the nearby bush, abandoning two unregistered motorbikes and a machete.

In the ensuing chase, police managed to arrest one suspect, Pascal Yenkye, who sustained a gunshot wound to the leg while attempting to flee on his motorbike. He is currently receiving treatment under police guard.

Meanwhile, a manhunt has been launched to apprehend the remaining suspects.

The Ghana Police Service reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of the public.
