In August 2025, the people of Ntonsua received good news when the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) renovated the community’s main health facility — the Ntonsua CHPS Compound — in the Obuasi Municipality.
The renovation, which forms part of the GRA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, aims to enhance access to quality healthcare in the community. Beyond the facelift, the Authority also donated essential medical supplies and a water storage tank to strengthen healthcare delivery at the facility.

Speaking at the brief ceremony, a representative of the GRA noted that the gesture underscores the Authority’s commitment to community well-being.
> “As an institution, we believe health is wealth. Supporting communities like Ntonsua to access quality healthcare is our way of giving back and contributing to national development,” the official said.
In her remarks, the Municipal Chief Executive of the Obuasi Municipal Assembly, Hon. Faustilove Appiah Kannin, expressed her profound appreciation to the GRA for the gesture. She commended the Authority for prioritizing the health needs of the people and urged other organizations to emulate this example by supporting the Assembly’s developmental agenda.
The ceremony was attended by management and staff of the GRA, the Municipal Coordinating Director of the OMA, officials from the Municipal Health Directorate, and traditional leaders (Nananom) of the area.
