Defending champions of the Ghana Premier League are facing tough times both on and off the playing field in their pursuit to defend the league they won last year.
The Obuasi-based club who currently sit in 9th place on the League log after 25 matches, saw the entire playing body boycott training on Thursday due to unpaid winning bonuses and signing-on fees.
Ashgold players have complained bitterly this season with regards to their monies owned them, with Management also failing to properly kerb the situation.
The action of the players on Thursday, however, forced a closed door meeting between management of the club led by Mr. Kudjo Fianoo and some senior players to massage the problem.
