350 Ghana promotes the use of Renewable Energy at the Accra Kenkey Festival

Ghana Reducing Our Carbon (GROC), a Non-Governmental Organisation based in Ghana was at the KenkeyFest18 held on 3rd March to educate participants on the relevance of renewable energy to the environment and sought their knowledge on it.

Kenkey festival is an annual event organized in March, which is Ghana’s heritage’s month in Jamestown community.

The event seeks to promote Ghanaian delicacies specifically kenkey, an indigenous food made from maize in the Ga community.
It brings together various kenkey vendors, musicians, artists, dancers, photographers, kenkey lovers, and other organizations from different parts of the country.

350 GROC ascertained individuals’ knowledge on renewable energies and their contributions in helping create awareness on the use of renewable products and its positive impact to the environment.

The government of Ghana has decided to focus on solar energy and so the 350 GROC will continue to support in that direction to achieve that mission.
