The Obuasi Municipal Assembly is set to launch a monthly journal aimed at keeping residents informed and engaged on developments within the Municipality. The publication, titled “Obuasi This Month,” will be unveiled on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, and will be published monthly.
The initiative, introduced under the visionary leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Faustilove Appiah Kannin, seeks to deepen citizens’ participation in local governance and enhance transparency through consistent information sharing.
According to the Assembly, “Obuasi This Month” adds to its growing list of communication platforms, which include its official Facebook page, website (www.oma.gov.gh), and in-person information services at the Assembly premises. The journal will serve as an additional tool for promoting accountability, development reporting, and civic engagement.
The launch event will be chaired by Dompoasehene Nana Okofo Kwabena Bonsu ,with invitations extended to all corporate organizations, civil society groups, and residents of Obuasi to participate and patronize the publication.
Powered by the Information Services Department (ISD), Obuasi, the inaugural September edition of Obuasi This Month will feature over 15 articles, highlighting major projects, community initiatives, and achievements of the Assembly.
The Obuasi Municipal Assembly believes this new communication channel will further strengthen the bond between the Assembly and the people it serves — ensuring that development is not only pursued but also well communicated and understood.
