The leadership for Obuasi based pressure group, Obuasi Must Live Coalition have debunked allegations leveled against them by some unknown people claiming the Coalition is being sponsored by AngloGold Ashanti, Obuasi Mine to do its bidding.
According to the Conveynor for the Coalition, when they heard the rumour, they laughed it off and had this to say;
“Nothing can be more laughable than aggreved peolple spreading malicious lie that leadership of the Obuasi Must Live Coalition has been ‘bought’ by AGA. This is a wicked lie straight from the bottom of hell” he said.
Speaking to Obuasitoday.com in an undisclosed location, the conveynor for the coalition, Mr. Prince Kwame Aboagye disclosed the motivation behind their internationally accepted campaign to keep Obuasi alive by helping the crippled Obuasi Mine to resurrect in order to save the dying Obuasi economy.
“We are motivated to do what we are doing purely for patriotic reasons. As young people, it is our desire to see Obuasi up on its feet again so that we can bequeath a proud legacy to our children. Kindly ignore these lies and lets maintain focus on our campaign to support the development of Obuasi” he further explained.
