Ghanaian defender Joseph Attamah Larweh powered Basaksehir to victory in the Turkish Cup on Wednesday evening.
Basaksehir managed to beat Giresunspor 2-1 but failed to progress to the next round of the competition following their 3-1 loss in the first league tie.
Togolese international Emmanuel Adebayor opened score for the homesters in 13th minute before Aykut Demir levelled the score in the 25th minute of the game.
The 24-year-old guardsman restored the lead for Orange lads but wasn’t enough as they lost 4-3 on aggregate. He lasted for the full throttle of the match.
Attamah has netted three goals in his 25 appearances for Basaksehir this season.
