The Tutuka Central Circuit inter-school sporting activities came to a close on Friday after three days of fierce competition among various schools in the area. The event was filled with excitement, emotions, and surprises as schools competed for honors in different categories.
One of the highlights of the event was the JHS Boys Soccer final, where Boete JHS B emerged victorious after a thrilling penalty shootout against Independence JHS A. Boete JHS B won 4-3 in penalties to lift the trophy, having beaten the Islamic Educational Complex JHS Obuasi Tutuka by a goal to nil in the semifinals. The victory was sweet for Boete JHS B, as Independence JHS A had beaten them last year to lift the same trophy.
The Boete JHS B team put up a spirited performance in the final, and their hard work and dedication paid off in the end. The team was ecstatic after the win, with players, teachers and students celebrating the victory.
Apart from the JHS Boys Soccer, other categories also produced winners, with Independence Primary C winning the Primary Soccer category, Boete JHS B winning the Netball JHS category, and Boete Primary B winning the Netball Primary category. In the Volleyball categories, Independence JHS A emerged winners in both the Boys and Girls categories.
The event was also a significant milestone for the Islamic Educational Complex JHS Obuasi Tutuka, who won their first-ever trophy in a sporting activity in the circuit. They defeated Independence JHS A in penalties to lift the JHS Girls soccer trophy.
