The Chief Executive Officer of Aduro Ye Herbal Centre in Obuasi, producers of Obuasi Bitters, Dr. Amo Collins has donated cash and items to Village of Hope Orphanage at Gomoa in the Central region. The donation summed up to fifteen thousand Ghana Cedis GHc15,000.
The young CEO of Aduro Ye Herbal Centre carried out the donation to mark his birthday. Speaking to Obuasitoday.com, the CEO revealed that this isn’t the first time that he is making such a donation. He made a similar donation to the same orphanage on his birthday last year.
“We must mourn with those who are mourning and celebrate with those who are happy. If God has blessed me with another year, I have to support those who need support in the community” he said.
“After my donation last year, things really went well for my business so I decided to repeat it again” he added.
Speaking on why he didn’t donate the items to an orphanage in his immediate environment, he explained that during his birthday last year, he wanted to donate to an orphanage in Obuasi but the orphanage told him he can’t see the kids in the orphanage.
“It didn’t click well. I asked myself why I can’t see the kids I want to support. That explains why I decided to travel to Gomoa and make the donation there” he explained.
The donation included a cheque of GHc10,000 and items worth GHc5,000. The items included bags of rice, cooking oil, tin tomatoes, sugar, biscuits and toiletries.
He then called on individuals and corporate organisations to support the needy in society.
“If you want to succeed in life, walk with a clear conscience, think evil of no man and bless others with what God has given you. You don’t need the money in the whole world before you can give or support others. The good things that others say into our lives are a great blessing” he said.
