Investment company, Databank, has warned the general public against investing with a website, INVEST-XD.
Managers of the INVEST-XD website, are allegedly encouraging the public to invest with them in Databank’s products such as Databank MFund, claiming it has a partnership with the investment firm.
But in a statement copied to citinewsroom.com, Databank said it has no such relationship with the said website, hence the public should be cautious.
“Kindly be advised that Databank is NOT in partnership with this INVEST-XD company and is not aware of any agreement wherein Databank pays INVEST-XD any commission. Likewise, there are no representatives of INVEST-XD employed by or on behalf of Databank.”
“Databank disassociates itself from INVEST-XD and the website. We would like to caution the public to be circumspect when dealing with this company as Databank would not be held liable for any losses that may occur by virtue of any investments made through this company”, the statement added.

The company further reminded customers of the designated outlets through which deposits into investments account must be made.
“Additionally, clients can choose to top up their Databank mutual fund investments through any of the following partner bank branches: Access Bank, Barclays Bank, Fidelity Bank, GCB Bank, GTBank, UBA, Zenith Bank”.
