Ex-Ghana international Derek Boateng has reportedly filed a suit against his former Black Stars teammate John Paintsil for allegedly refusing to pay an amount of $US20,000 owed to him.
A report in the media claims the former Getafe midfielder has officially lodged a complaint at the court to have his colleague refund the said money including interest.
The money according to the report was cash borrowed by Paintsil in camp during the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals from Boateng.
Paintsil is also said to have denied owing the plaintiff (Boateng), insisting it was a gamble he won after the two agreed to get involved in the game.
Both Derrick Boateng and John Paintsil were key part of the Black Stars team during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa helping Ghana to become the third African country to ever reach the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup.
