Vendors for this year’s Obuasi Trade Show have received training on how best they can brand and package their products for the Trade Show and beyond. The two-days training which ended today benefitted almost 100 vendors.
The Obuasi Trade show is a collaboration between Anglogold Ashanti Ghana Limited and the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI), to develop the business acumen of local enterprises in the golden city. This year’s edition will be the third of its kind in the Golden City and will commence on 21st December, 2020 till the 26th December, 2020.
Speaking at the opening session of the training, Mr. Emmanuel Baidoo, Senior Sustainability Manager of AngloGold Ashanti, Obuasi Mine, revealed the Mine will push GHc150,000 into this year’s Trade Show.
The Obuasi Trade Show 2020 will take place at the AngloGold Ashanti Club House, with an Artistes Night on the last day. A virtual exhibition which will run for two weeks from the 15th December to the 31st December will help reduce the number of vendors and buyers who will be physically present at the event.
Kelvin Ofori Atta, the Municipal Director for National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI) revealed that the virtual exhibition would be telecasted on Pemsan TV and Fast TV to enable those at home to know how to reach out to the traders.
The Obuasi Trade Show 2020 will take place under strict observance of all COVID-19 protocols.
