Placenta in collaboration Prince Ampofo Leadership Ministry (PALM) is organizing a one day Youth empowerment program dubbed “Youth Revolution Conference 2016 under the theme Equipping Tomorrow’s Change Leaders for Sustainability”.
The program, which is the second of its kind organized by the two organizations in the Obuasi Municipality, will come off on the 23rd day July 2016 at the Living Word Assemblies of God, Anyinam Assembly.
Participants for the program will buy a ticket for GHS10.00 that will come with a Refreshment package, Conference Materials, Speed Mentoring, Investment Advice from Data Bank, On-Spot Business Development Coaching and other things. Tickets can be purchased from any of the radio stations in Obuasi and also at the gift section of the Ghana Post Office in Obuasi.
Distinguished personalities who will grace the program as speakers are Dr. Joyce Rosalind Aryee, Founder and Executive Director of Salt and Light Ministry, Mr. Boadi-Asamoah, Managing Director for Golden Pride Susu and Loans, Prince Ampofo, CEO of PALMinistry and Nana Akua Ohene Adu, Chief Executive Officer, Leap Groups.
Today, in our Profile segment for the Youth Revolution Conference 2016,we profile one of the iconic women in the sub Saharan Region and from nowhere but Ghana; in the person of Dr. Joyce Rosalind Aryee who will be speaking on ‘My Seven Growth Lessons in Seven Decades’.
Dr. Joyce R. Aryee is the Founder and Executive Director for Salt and Light Ministry, a Christian Organization in Ghana, West Africa. She is an avid promoter of Ghanaian Classical and Choral composition.
Dr. Joyce Aryee is also a Professional Counselor.
Most young ones do not know the political side of this versatile woman.
She served under the Provisional National Defense Council (PNDC) as the Secretary of Information and Education, with Mr. John Jerry Rawlings as the Head of State.
Mama Joyce’s remarkable success that gingered other women to be like her was her appointment as the first female Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Mines.
Dr. Joyce Aryee, an accomplished Management and Communication Consultant has also chalked many successes in the business and cooperate world.
She is currently the Chairperson for Omatek Ventures (Ghana) Limited.
She is a Senior Mentor for the African Leadership Initiative and the Chairperson of Moremu Initiative for Women in Leadership for African Development (MILEAD)
Dr. Aryee has served on several Boards such as te Central University College, Finatrade Foundation, AEL Mining Services Limited, GLICO General, Engineers and Planners, Omatek Computers, The Ark Fund and MAN Ghana Limited.
She received the second highest state Award (the Companion of the Order of the Volta) in 2006 in recognition of her service to the Nation.
CIMG Marketing Woman of the year 2007.
African Leadership on Center for Economic Developments Africa Female of the year Award 2009.
Honorary Fellow of the Ghana Institute of Engineers.
Honorary Doctorate from University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), for her role in the growth of the Mining Industry.
