Adansi Baptist  Credit Union launched

The association of Baptist Churches in the Obuasi municipality, last Sunday came together to launch a Credit Union with the name, Adansi Baptist Credit Union.

Rev. Nathaniel Aboagye Danquah, who is the Head of the Adansi Baptist Association, told Obuasitoday.com the motive for the creation of the Credit Union, was to imbibe the spirit of saving into members.

He went on to explain how a member or non-member can join the Union; “To get registered and be a member, one needs to pay a non- refundable amount of GHC 210.00 for processing”, he stressed.

Customers are also allowed to buy Shares and with not less than GHC 100.00.

Board Members

The Credit Union have  a six member Board, which is made up of Deacon Kwame Abu (Chairman), Deacon Samuel Opare Baidoo (Vice Chairman) and Mr. Emmanuel Konadu Yiadom- Secretary.

Others are, Rev. Kingsley Arthur (Member), Hon. Jonas Maurice Wood (Member), Deacon Ohemeng Boateng  (Member) and Mrs. Richlove Owusu Agyapong (Member)

According to the Association Head, the Board of the Credit Union and the Adansi Baptist Association Executive Committee have decided to make it compulsory for all the Baptist Churches within the Association to be members of the Union. He further advised all the congregants present during the church service to be active members Baptist Credit Union which will also serve as a credit facility to its members.
