SAP System Advisor.
ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
The SAP System Advisor is accountable for coordinating and delivering the SAP PM business solution in AGAG to fully function within the agreed budget costs and timeframes. The role holder will lead the set-up of SAP and will be monitoring the progress and controlling the progress directly using the AGAG planners through the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning stages, interfacing and coordinating the SAP PM activities for all the equipment at AGAG.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Deliver the Safety Management plan elements for the areas under the incumbent’s control
- Provide technical input to the Safety Manager, Refurbishment Manager, Planning Manager, Technical Services Manager and Construction Manager in order to develop the safety management plan for the construction and refurbishment works, consistent with AGA’s Integrated Management System and Standards.
- Review the application of safety standards and work practices for the refurbishment construction workforce to enable the safety targets to be managed and achieved.
- Advise and train the planners on the use of SAP PM in the planning the of the construction, refurbishment and maintenance activities in accordance with the Government of Ghana conditions of approvals and the site’s Environmental Management Plan
- Issue environmental related instruction to any employees at the workplace
- As a minimum, achieve zero reportable environmental incidents, zero compliance breaches and no events requiring public disclosure
- Utilise, ‘Analyse and Improve’ tools to investigate process interruptions so that exposure to environmental risks is reduced.
- Provide guidance and training to the planning team and entire Obuasi in fully effective use of SAP PM within the timeframes and budget agreed, such that users will to be fully conversant with and competent in application of all aspects of the SAP PM modules, creating super-users

- Develop a skills matrix that includes all disciplines and individual achievements and when complete will provide the correct level of competencies in the SAP PM for all users in planning

- Input into the design and constructability process, ensuring safe constructability remains a high priority. Including HAZID’s and HAZOP’s and schedule development.
- Provide major inputs to Operational Readiness for the Surface engineering/maintenance throughout the operation.
- Develop the Operational Readiness plan for the Engineering team including localization plan.
- Implement the approved organizational structure required to deliver the project targets and future operational requirements planning.
- Develop in SAP PM, an asset management strategy in the area of accountability based on the Obuasi Operations expected life of mine.
- Utilize the SAP asset maintenance management system in maintenance planning activities.
- Lead the implementation of AMPL, TM1 and support the AGA Asset Management framework implementation in Obuasi
- Ensure the planning of the work carried out by the maintenance team is of a standard that supports the operational requirements of the equipment and is at optimum cost
- Identify sub-standard work practices and take action to eliminate them and identify the root cause of these poor work practices – carry out corrective action.
- Ensure the competencies allow the implementation of corporate programs,e.g. asset management strategies, System for People, Operational Effectiveness, etc across areas of control.

- Oversee refurbishment witness inspections and testing regime to ensure quality and or performance is in line with obligations and expectations.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Qualification
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Maintenance Engineering, or equivalent
- Certificate in Maintenance Planning
- Certificate in SAP PM, asset management and Maintenance Planning Tool, and SAP trainer certification
- Certificate in Materials Management (ERP usage for maintenance parts and consumables).
- Masters’ Degree in Management will be an advantage.
- Financial, Commercial and Project management through work experience and courses.
Experience
- An experienced SAP PM, Maintenance Planning and ERP Trainer; a mechanical/electrical/ maintenance engineer with 10+ years’ experience in maintenance planning for Surface Processing Plant, Underground and Surface Mine Infrastructure and Equipment.
- 5+ years’ experience in training SAP PM, ERP and Planning Modules to create fully competent knowledgeable users and super- users to budget and timeframe.
- Detailed competency and knowledge of SAP PM module and ERP (SAP) operation and usage
- An SAP “Guru” and certified SAP trainer (particularly for PM and Planning modules)
- Experience in management of planning for Maintenance and Repair Contracts (MARC)

ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
The BI Specialist will lead the identification and implementation of critical improvement projects that deliver and promote a culture of sustainable continuous improvements (CI) across site. The role holder will also support site Management by providing training in continuous improvement methodologies and tools to facilitate the project identification and implementation process.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Facilitate the process of identifying and implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) projects across site
- Develop and regularly update a sitewide process improvement or cost reduction model
- Perform sensitivity analysis on the process improvement model and identify potential risks and opportunities for review improvement initiatives and compile weekly progress reports

Paste Plant Shift Supervisor.
ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
The Paste Plant Supervisor has the operational accountability of playing integral role in the commissioning of the plant, stabilize its operations as quickly as practical and optimize its operations with improvement initiatives. Achieving this will require human interventions at varying skill levels in conjunction with a degree of automations. The purpose of this role is to offer first line leadership and mentoring to the pastefill plant operating team. This shall entail sound decision making skills, strong sense of judgement, team building, monitoring, controlling, making adjustment where necessary and reporting any deviations from set KPIs and expectations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Actively promote and partake in all Health, Safety and Environmental programs as set out by AGAG Obuasi.
- Serve as the coordinator for all paste plant emergencies including safety, health, environment, and security as all such communications are directed at the control room for dissemination.

Senior Metallurgist.
ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
The incumbent will design, develop, and manage the accounting features of the gold processing plant and ensure raw materials for processing are accurate for safe sustainable plant throughput and gold recovery at a minimum cost. He/she will act as a continuous improvement champion and facilitate projects that delivers and promotes a culture of sustainable continuous improvements within the department.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Lead by example to create a safe working environment, where risks are assessed and managed so tasks are performed without risk of injury or harm.
- Contribute to the Processing Department target to achieve zero reportable environmental incidents, zero compliance breaches and no events requiring public disclosure.
- Utilise ‘Analyse and Improve’ tools to investigate process interruptions so that exposure to environmental risks is reduced.
- Reduce energy usage by running the plant energy consumption per unit produced at the optimal rate with sphere of influence.
- Contribute to the Processing Department’s objective to eliminate hydrocarbon and hyper saline water spills to zero within the Metallurgy Department.
- Ensure the organization structure is capable of delivering the metallurgical efficiency strategy
- Develop and set-up process automation, control systems and on-stream Metallurgical Monitoring for accurate and consistent data.
- Develop first fill and operational regents and consumables procurement plan and track delivery.
- Identify and maintain required inventory of critical spares and consumables
- Conduct the drafting, review, adjudicating and managing of all service contracts of the processing plant.
- Develop BIOX bacteria inoculum build up program and facilitate its implementation.
- Provide input into the process team readiness, recruitment, training and development of standard operating procedures, policies, etc.
- Where practicable, identify manual sampling protocols for plant data
- Investigate operational bottlenecks in the plant and make recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, product quality, and reduce costs, as part of the Full Potential program.
- Model the process flowsheet and conduct integrative online mass balancing and simulation for troubleshooting and optimisation works
- Model the Sulphide Treatment Plant metallurgical accounting system with the modelling tools for steady state or dynamic plant model development for various applications
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Qualification
- Recognized tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Mineral or Chemical Engineering
- Certificate of competence from MINCOM as per LI 2182 would be an advantage
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of post-tertiary practice on a recognized process plant

Senior Manager – Corporate Affairs
ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
The Senior Manager – Corporate Affairs is accountable for designing, implementing and constantly improving the strategy to manage the internal and external stakeholder relationships at government, industry and corporate level, acting as Public and Corporate Affairs representative for AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited, AngloGold Ashanti (Iduapriem) Limited and its subsidiaries in Ghana.
The role holder will also provide specialist support by managing media relations to ensure effective and correct publishing of articles and promote AGA’s corporate image by developing a stakeholder engagement plan for internal and external stakeholders.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Design and implement Communication Plan from a Ghana Country perspective, managing the content of messages to both internal and external AGA Stakeholders in Ghana.
- Develop a communication strategy (Media, government relations & communities) for AGAG, AAIL and the SDUs.
- Customize AGA group and Business Unit Government Relation Strategy, Policy, Procedure and tools to ensure seamless engagement and relations with all Government stakeholders in Ghana.
- Adopt and support Business Community and Industry collective agenda and represent AGA in business lead dialogue, both private to private and private to public.
- Establish systems and procedures to effectively manage internal and external relations and communications.
- Ensure industry and legislative compliance and early bird warning systems are in place, feeding back changes in legislation and industry networks to ensure a competitive advantage.
- Consolidate Monthly Reports, develop and circulate internal communication briefs from Corporate and the Business Unit.
- Manage the intranet and all AGA Ghana Communication platforms by ensuring that they contain up to-date data and information
- Monitor progress and outcomes of Government, corporate and communication related interventions against strategy objectives and targets
- Demonstrate Safety Leadership and improve the Culture across the department regarding Safety, Health, and Sustainable Development
- Manage all environmental requirements for the Department and integrate this work into the Department’s budget
- Provide the systems, resources and expertise to the Ghana Business Unit to develop the workforce to capably and consistently deliver the annual budget, life of mine (LoM) plan and strategy according to their role and level of authority
- Nurture and sustain a culture of Accountability and continuous improvement within the Corporate Affairs Function
- Develop and maintain constructive relationships with Internal Stakeholders (Exco, Corporate, CARO, etc.) and external Stakeholders (Regulatory Agencies and Authorities, Unions, Labour Commission, Minerals Commission, Immigration Department and the NPRA, EPA, Chamber of Mines)

Qualification
- Post-graduate degree in Corporate Communications or Business Management
Experience
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in business management of which five (5+) years should be at a senior management level with specific understanding of corporate governance, legislative changes, stakeholders management and the impact thereof on the corporate environment.
