Anyinam Methodist Primary ‘A’ School Organises Maiden Homecoming

In an effort to celebrate their heritage and give back to the community that has nurtured them, the Anyinam Methodist Primary ‘A’ School in Obuasi, Ghana, is organizing its maiden homecoming event this week. The theme for this year’s event is “Nurturing A Child’s Prospect: The Role of the Stakeholders.”

The event, which began on Monday, February 27th and is scheduled to end on March 5th, promises to be an exciting week filled with various activities that will engage both the young and old. On Monday, the school organized a clean-up exercise within the Anyinam community to promote a healthy and clean environment for everyone.

On Tuesday, the school organized a float around the principal streets of Obuasi, showcasing their school’s heritage and culture. It was a delightful sight to see the students, and teachers adorned in lacostes and marching along the streets.

Wednesday will be a day of delicious treats as the school will organize a food bazaar, which will showcase the culinary skills of the school’s pupils. It will be a wonderful opportunity for everyone to bond and share in the spirit of camaraderie.

Thursday will be a day for games and health screening. Students will engage in various sports activities, while the school will provide free health screening. It will be a great opportunity for parents and guardians to ensure that their children are healthy and active.

Friday will be the grand durbar, where the school will showcase its achievements and future aspirations. The event will be graced by dignitaries, old students, parents, community members, staff and students of the school.

Saturday will be another day of community service as the school will organize a school clean-up exercise. Students will clean up the school’s premises and its surroundings.

The event will end on Sunday with a thanksgiving service at the Calvary Methodist Church in Anyinam. It will be a day to give thanks for the successful week-long event and to pray for the school’s continued success in nurturing the prospects of its pupils.
