Obuasi-based Aseda FM has celebrated its one-year anniversary with activities including a health walk, free health screening, cleanup exercise and donation to an orphanage.
Aseda FM started operations in August 2020 and has so far being competing massively against the other radio stations in the Golden City. To observe the milestone, the station arranged a number of activities.
The celebration started with a health walk on Saturday 7th August 2021 which commenced from the studios of Aseda FM through Dunkwa Junction, Anyinam, Mangoase, Boete and back to the studio of Aseda FM.
The following day, they carried out a cleanup exercise at the Obuasi Central market ad Horsey Park.
On Tuesday, 10th August, they carried out a free health screening at the forecourt of the Vodafone Ghana office behind Aseda FM studios together with its partners.
A Soccer competition was also organized on Saturday, 14th August where Shaft FM emerged as overall winners.
The Adullam Orphanage was the beneficiary of a donation by Aseda FM on the 20th of August 2021. The orphanage received a bag of rice, toiletries and used clothing.
The celebration ended with a thanksgiving service on Saturday at the Seventh Day Adventist Church at Obuasi Estate and on Sunday at the Bedieso Church of Pentecost. There was also a dinner at the Mawuli Hotel where Hon. John Alexander Kobina Ackon, former Ashanti Regional Minister and MCE of Obuasi Municipal among others were in attendance.
