The Honourable Municipal Chief Executive for Obuasi, Mr. Elijah Adansi Bonah has complained bitterly about the rate at which the Internal Generated Funds of the municipality is dwindling due to poor reportage of some media houses on COVID-19.
Speaking to Kwame Tanko on Angel FM 96.1, the media practitioner cum politician, told listeners his Finance officers are attributing low IGFs to the pandemic.
He stated, “Kwame, my finance officers are telling me we’re recording low figures due to some of these bias reportage on the pandemic, especially that of Obuasi”.
According to him, traders who travel to Dunkwa-on-Offin to ply their trade are being stigmatized against.

Hon. Elijah Adansi Bonah told Kwame Tanko his municipality is not in need of PPEs and even if they did, Anglo Gold Ashanti will come to their aid.
