The MTN Heroes of Change program is an MTN foundation which identifies and celebrates selfless individuals and/or organizations who dedicate their time and resources to support their communities and brighten lives focusing on health, education and economic empowerment.
Speaking at the Launch of its season 7 edition in Accra, David Hagan, the founder and CEO of Galaxy Foundation and the only philanthropist to be honoured twice by the Heroes of Change program (2019 & 2022) highlighted the impact of the program. ‘Things have become easier, we no longer need to sell our personal belongings, just to be able to help humanity. The MTN heroes of change has been very impactful and we pray that it continues to give such exposure and even more’, he said.
Background
Galaxy Foundation Ghana is a Ghanaian based non-profit organization which seeks to bring smiles to the medically hopeless and poor people living in rural Ghana by providing reconstructive plastic and general surgery to the needy. The foundation corrects anomalies and deformities such as cleft lip and palate, post burn contractures, keloids, fused fingers and toes goiter and other swellings for free.
It was founded in 2012 with the aim of helping the poor and needy and those who are most fragile and vulnerable.
