Obuasi West Assemblies of God organises joint Youth Games

Assemblies of God churches in the Obuasi West district yesterday, 25th May, 2016 organised joint youth games for the Youth Ministry wing of the church. The games which took place at the Obuasi Presby JHS School park, consisted of sack race, football, Ludo and draft.
In all, seven churches were present to participate in the  activities. They included;
1. Living Faith A/G – Estate
2. Good News A/G – Sanso
3. Living Word A/G – Anyinam
4. Amazing Grace A/G – Bogobiri
5. Fountain of Life A/G – Gausu Extension
6. Overcomers Family Chapel A/G – Kokoteasua
7. Word of Faith A/G – New Nyamebekyere

In the Men’s soccer, Good News A/G whipped their counterparts from Anyinam by four goals to nil. In the second game, Amazing Grace A/G overpowered and beat Overcomers Family Chapel A/G by two goals to one.

In the last game of the first round, the match between Living faith A/G and Word of faith A/G was decided by spot kicks in which the Central church of the district, Living Faith A/G scored all the three spot kicks taken and Word of Faith missed all their spot kicks.

Living Faith A/G was crowned the champions of the soccer when they beat Good News A/G from Sanso by a lone goal.

In the indoor games, Good News A/G came top by garnering nine points out of the possible twelve. Living Word A/G from Anyinam and Amazing Grace from Bogobiri made away with 8 points each and shared the second spot. Fountain of Life A/G, Overcomers Family Chapel A/G and Living Faith A/G each got 7, 6 and 3 points respectively.

Speaking before the commencement of the event, Pastor Nicholas Nyarko, the District Youth Rep for Obuasi West advised the young men and women present to take opportunity of the activities to socialise and reveal the love of God to all present whether they worship at their branches or not.
