Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Obuasi and Obuasi East Obuasi Constituencies, Hon. Edward Michael Ennin, has assured that he will now fully be engaged in the affairs of his New Patriotic Party after their National Delegates’ Conference came to a close.
Mr. Edward Ennin was happy about the outcome of the NPP’s National Elections which took place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, July 17th, 2022.
Speaking on the ‘Ghana Nti’ morning show hosted by Obarima Kwadwo Gyamfi on Monday, July 18, 2022, on ASEDA 92.3FM, he said that what he is looking for has come to pass and so he will now sit up and work assiduously for the New Patriotic Party alongside his work.
‘‘I am very excited about the results that came through from our National Elections. The external forces at the Presidency in our national elections during President Kuffour’s time was also at play on Saturday, but the delegates made the world know that the Party belongs to the masses and not a few,’’ he said.
‘‘I, for instance recently relaxed but I am now going to work hard for the Party, because there were some people there, I didn’t want to get close to them and now they are not there,’’ Mr. Ennin added.
He continued, ‘‘We were the people who took up the communication works when the party was in opposition. But it got to a time that what was going on in the party was disgusting, to say the least, and so I sat behind. Now things have changed so I am back to working as previously.’’
He noted that, what Chairman Wontumi and his cohorts did prior to the elections was a disgrace and that they have suffered some humiliation but the current General Secretary, Mr. Justin Frimpong Kodua, is not the type that bears grudges and will work with everybody for the smooth running of the party.
