SEKYERE KUMAWU DISTRICT ASSEMBLY SUPPORTS STUDENTS WITH GHC 50,000

The Sekyere Kumawu District Assembly in the Ashanti region in its bid to promote education in their area has supported brilliant but needy children with an amount of Ghc 50,000 to alleviate the suffering of parents in the district.

Apart from that the assembly has also constructed school blocks in nearby towns like Ntarentre,Mobia to bring closer to pupils who walked long distance from Bahankra and Besero to have their studies.

During the presentation of the fund, the District chief executive for Sekyere Kumawu, Hon.William Amoako,said, it has been his vision to help the brilliant but the needy children whose parents can’t afford to cater for their education and therefore believes that with the move by the assembly under his leadership, the vision has been realized.

According to the DCE, education in every country is the pivot to country growing and that as an assembly it is their mandate to provide the people with educational infrastructure, portablewater, good health and other social amenities to grow the people in the district.

“As the DCE in the district, it is my wish to bring education closer to the people by building more schools to accommodate pupils and also remove schools under trees which has become a major challenge to our dear country, Ghana”, he said.

Hon. Emmanuel William Amoako said, though it is the responsibility of the assembly to provide school building but parent also must ensure the encourage their wards to go to school because, the best thing as a parent to give to your ward is to educate him or her to get a bright future.

He said, some parents nowadays are fund of spending their monies on buying clothes and other things which are irrelevant instead of spending such monies on their child to get better life in the coming future.

The Sekyere Kumawu District Assembly he said, will not live any stone unturned and will continue to improve the lives of people in the area true better programmes to amass growth and also developed the lives of its inhabitants.

He therefore called on Ghanaians to consider education as a tool to socio- economic development and therefore supports the government to grow in its vision to develop Ghana.
