Kwesi Appiah Names 21-man squad for Afcon Qualifier: Kwadwo Asamoah returns, Daniel Opare recalled.

The head coach of the Senior National team,Blackstars, has lined up 21 players for the Afcon qualifier against Kenya next month.

THe Blackstars play away to the Harambee stars at the Moi International Sports Center in Nairobi on September 8.

Inter Milan’s Kwadwo Asamoah makes a return after a long absence from the national team since 2014 FIFA World cup  Brazil.

Daniel Opare also makes an appearance since the World cup in Brazil along with team mate William Owusu, who get his first call up the the national team.

Centre-back, John Boye gets a call up since reporting to camp with injury last year for a world cup qualifer against Congo last year

Asamoah Gyan as well as the Ayew Brothers is yet to feature in a Blackstar game since world qualifier against Congo in Kumasi. They remain absent from Kwesi Appiah’s team for the qualifier.

The Black Stars will camp in Ethiopia before leaving for Nairobi.
