Pescara and former Ghana midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari walked off the pitch in protest over claims he was racially abused by Cagliari fans on Sunday. He was booked for dissent by the referee when he went too far with his complaints and stormed off the pitch in the 89th minute shouting to the Cagliari fans that ”this is my colour”. Pescara, who Muntari joined only in January lost the game 1-0 and have been relegated from the Italian top flight. Pescara boss Zdenak Zedman claims Muntari was right to report the abuse but didn’t have to walk off the pitch.
