Nana Adansihene Survives Attack by Unknown Assailants; Council Links Incident to Fight Against Illegal Mining

Nana Adansihene, Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II, has survived an attack by unknown assailants while on his way home.

The unfortunate incident was confirmed by Nana Kwedu Kwakye, the Akwamuhene of the Fomena Traditional Council, during a press conference held earlier today.

According to Nana Kwedu Kwakye, the attack is believed to be connected to the Adansihene’s unwavering fight against illegal mining activities in the area. He stressed that the traditional council views the incident as a serious threat not only to the Adansihene but also to the development and peace of Adansiman.

He further warned that no chief or individual should attempt to plead on behalf of anyone suspected to be involved in the incident. “The council will explore all legal avenues to ensure the perpetrators are arrested and face the full rigours of the law,” he said.

In pursuit of justice, the Adansiman Traditional Council has set up a five-member committee to follow up on the case and collaborate with the Ghana Police Service.

The council reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the police throughout the investigation and ensuring that justice is served for both Nana Adansihene and the people of Adansiman.
