Basic schools in the Obuasi East District today observed the Traditional Day, which gave the opportunity for basic school students to wear any traditional attire to school instead of their usual school uniforms. This is the first of its kind involving all schools in the district.
The Traditional Day was initiated by the Obuasi East Education Directorate this year and will remain an annual event in the Obuasi East District. On every 25th February, teachers and students at Basic schools in the district are expected to wear their favorite traditional attires to school.
