The Obuasi Municipal Assembly in 2016 spent an additional GHc11,269 on a project which was captured as completed in the 2015 Annual Progress Report. The project was expected to cost the Assembly Ghc107,556 but after spending Ghc99,575.52 on it, the Assembly declared the project as completed. The project was the construction of two 8-seater water closet toilet facilities with water systems at the Asonkore and Akaporiso Anglican schools.

Though the project was captured as completed, the Assembly again repeated it in the 2016 Annual Progress report, stating that an additional Ghc11,269.17 was spent on the project in the year under review. The contractor who executed the project was M/S Building Excellence and funding was from the District Development Fund.
