The citizens of Kotei- New Deduako are very angry about the sale of some public lands in the community earmarked for community projects.
According to them they wonder why Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu is warning chiefs and elders to refrain from selling public lands meant for community development for cash but others are still in the act.
Some residents who spoke to the New Day wanted to know the one behind the sales of four acres plot meant for a public school, one acre plot for a clinic and a Kindergarten plot in New Deduako.
Some believe that the chief is indispose and that he can’t even sign or negotiate with anyone to sell those plots set aside for public development in the community.
“We will deal with the one behind the sales of the land because we are very worried that there is no single public school in New Deduako apart from the special school for persons with disability where even parts of the plot has been sold to one Reverend Isaac Osei Bonsu”, one agitated resident said.
The angry citizens who want to besiege the premises of the palace through a peaceful demonstration to enquire about who is behind the sales of the public lands hinted that their children and for that matter strangers who are now residents in the community do send their children to a nearby community which to them is uncalled for and they will uncover who is really behind the sales of the public lands in New Deduako.
“If they have taken any monies from the sales of the land, they should hurry and return it because we will spend our last blood to prevent anyone from building on the lands meant for community projects”, they said.
