Residents of Adansi Dadwene, a town in the Adansi North District and close to the Obuasi-Kumasi highway have been complaining bitterly about the poor nature of their road which is currently unmotorable and dusty.
The mention of the construction of the Obuasi-Kumasi highway in the 2018 budget brought a sigh of relief to them; until a resident who lives close to the already deplorable road started releasing his sewage on the road.
Madam Adwoa Baako, a distressed resident who called on the offices of Obuasitoday.com yesterday mentioned how another affluent resident who resides opposite the washing bay in Dadwene has directed PVC pipes believed to be carrying his sewages on the already poor road, causing more destruction to the road.
“We’re indeed suffering and to add insults to our injury, a man who stays just by the main road and opposite the Washing bay in Dadwene has connected his sewages on the road, which we believe is also destroying the road”, she bemoan.
Efforts are being made to get the Assembly Member for the area to know what his office doing about the issue at hand.
