The Obuasi Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Elijah Adansi Bonah has called on the good people of Obuasi to give him more time to execute his task as the Chief Executive devoid of ultimatums.
Mr. Adansi-Bonah who was speaking to Journalists after the Obuasi East New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) delegates conference during the weekends, assured residents he was going to do his best to get the roads fixed with time.
“Last time I heard someone on radio was giving me 2 weeks to fix the bad roads in the municipality; my brother how do you expect me to use just 2 weeks to fix all the bad roads in town when I’m barely one month in office”, he quizzed.
He acknowledged receipt of a petition from Save Obuasi Movement, a pressure group made up of journalists that seeks to see immediate works done on the deteriorating nature of roads in the municipality and promised his office is working on it.
Hon Elijah Adansi Bonah also made mention of AngloGold Ashanti, Obuasi mine, giving the Municipal Assembly mine walls to fill some of the deadly potholes in the municipality.
The poor nature of roads in the Obuasi Municipality has been the topical issue for the past two weeks, with residents and motorists feeling disappointed in the leadership of the Municipality.
