Anglogold Ashanti Obuasi Community Trust Fund has commissioned various projects in Obuasi and its environs. The projects which cost GHc326,328.03 were commissioned on Thursday, 19th May, 2016 as part of the stability agreement between the Mining company and the Government of Ghana.
Speaking at the event, Nana Bekoe, Sustainability Manager of AGA and a Board Member of the AGA Obuasi Community Trust Fund, said, despite the challenges faced by the company apropos to the illegal occupation of some key concessions of the company by illegal miners, the company is still trying its best to make lives easier and comfortable for people within its operational areas.
The representative of the Adansihene, Twafohene of Fomena Nana Okyere Boahantan III, who was present at all the communities where the commissioning took place, thanked the company for the projects and advised the community to take good care of the facilities provided for them by the AGA Obuasi Community Trust Fund.
