AGAMal Presents Waste bins to Boete Schools

The AngloGold Ashanti Malaria Control as part of its Keeping Obuasi Clean Campaign has donated ten (10) waste bins to the Obuasi Boete Schools. The campaign is in partnership with AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi Mine and the Obuasi East and West Assemblies.

Speaking to Francis Mensah, Officer in-charge of Environmental Issues at the Keeping Obuasi Clean Campaign, he told Obuasitoday.com that their aim is to keep the Obuasi community clean.

“There is the school visitation which is to inculcate into students the habit of cleanliness so that they can apply it everywhere they go” he said.

The schools visitation program includes a clean up exercise, sensitization and presentation of waste bins to the schools. So far, Pomposo, St Joseph R/C and Asonkore schools have benefited from the campaign and Boete schools are the latest on the list.

Boete Primary A, B and C got two waste bins each whiles Boete Junior High School A and B also got two waste bins each.
