AGAMal Wraps Up the 2024 Indoor Residual Spraying Campaign with Community Clean-Ups

Under the theme of “Small Actions, Big Impact for Malaria Elimination,” AGAMal has concluded its 2024 Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) campaign, achieving comprehensive coverage across all 16 operational districts. This 11-week operation has provided year-long protection against malaria to over 1.3 million Ghanaians, marking a significant milestone in the country’s fight against the disease.

AGAMal extends its profound gratitude to its donors, AngloGold Ashanti and The Global Fund, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in the campaign’s success. Equally vital has been the collaboration with partners such as the Ghana Health Service and the National Malaria Elimination Programme, as well as the engagement of local stakeholders, media, and the beneficiary communities themselves.

To mark the campaign’s conclusion and reinforce community ownership, clean-up initiatives were conducted by spray teams across all operational districts. These activities not only improved local environments but also empowered individuals to take proactive steps in safeguarding their health.

Through sustained education and awareness, AGAMal is confident that collective efforts will lead to a malaria-free future in Ghana, proving that small actions can indeed have a big impact.
