AngloGold Ashanti Limited (Ghana/Tanzania Business Unit) is seeking experienced and self-motivated persons to join our Regional HR team as:

Regional HRBP

ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT 

Through business partnering, the incumbent will be required to pursue and implement an effective HRBP model to translate the Group HR strategy into relevant tactical and operational plans to align to the respective Business Units overall strategy, develop relevant and appropriate procedures and HR systems to ensure an effective and best-practice HR delivery.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The role would manage talent acquisition, people systems and services as well as culture, diversity and inclusion. Maintain an oversight of the annual performance management processes. Monitor compliance with processes and recommend actions to address issues and improve effectiveness.

Ensure credible and reliable HR data. Ensure that required statutory reports, as well as reports on key HR indices and measures to EXCO and Line Managers, are compiled and submitted as required. Monitor the day-to-day HR service delivery to all employees and line managers, ensuring a high quality, efficient service to customers

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Qualification

  • A degree in Industrial Psychology, Human Resources Management, or other relevant qualification

Experience

  • 5-8 years generalist HR experience in an operational Human Resources role, preferably as a HR Business Partner. 3 years of which must be in a managerial position
  • Generalist experience in all areas of the Human Resources discipline i.e. labour relations, organisational development, training and development, remuneration and benefits, as well as staffing (National and International placements).
  • Experience within the mining or related industry would be advantageous
