The sorry state of the road has been a major concern for residents most especially road users.

The rehabilitation of the ETS road and subsequent beautification of the area forms part of the commitments made by AngloGold Ashanti in their 10-year Socio-economic Development Plan to upgrade some road networks in Obuasi.

The ETS road rehabilitation project aligns with AngloGold Ashanti’s broader commitment to socio-economic development in Obuasi, which includes initiatives such as the construction of a nine-unit classroom block at Sanso and an examination printing center in Obuasi East and the Obuasi Municipalities.
The Mining company has undertaken some eye-catching projects such as the construction of an ultra-modern health centre for the Dokyiwa/ Binsere communities and the robotic centre for Obuasi Senior High Technical School.

These initiatives demonstrate AngloGold Ashanti’s dedication to improving the lives of people in Obuasi and contributing to the municipality’s development.
